International travel returns with Avalon Waterways

17 May 2021 Update

Avalon Waterways is pleased that international travel can resume operation from England to select destinations. The UK government has introduced a new traffic light system and it is our intention to operate our cruises, where operationally viable, to destinations on the Green and Amber lists which are accepting international visitors.

We do anticipate our operations will begin soon starting with the following departures;

  • Seine - July 20
  • Rhine - August 7
  • Danube - August 10
  • Rhône - August 31
  • Moselle - September 10

This of course is dependent upon the official announcement stating whether these Countries will accept UK travellers. We will keep all guests scheduled on these cruises informed of that status.

This listing of open countries will be expanding in the coming weeks, and we will update the accessible countries and available departures on a regular basis. As more countries open to UK travellers, Avalon plans to expand operations following their given travel guidelines.

For all other cruises and destinations, Avalon Waterways has continued suspension of operations until 31 July 31 2021.

For later 2021 and 2022 dates for your select destination, simply check our website for your destination of choice.
