The UK government has introduced a Traffic Light System for entering the UK after visiting other Countries. It is our intention to operate our cruises, where operationally viable, to destinations on the governments Green or Amber lists which are accepting international visitors. For more information about your return to the UK please click on your Country of Residence above. If a PCR test is required once back in the UK as part of the rules of arriving from your destination you will need to pre-book the tests, before your holiday begins. Due to the prior COVID-related circumstances and restrictions, Avalon Waterways has suspended select cruises through December 31, 2021. Guests impacted by European sailings that have been suspended are being contacted by their Travel Advisor or by Avalon Waterways with options for rebooking.
In these situations, Avalon Waterways continues our program designed to give our travelers flexibility when considering their travel plans.
Avalon is allowing guests with bookings on any suspended travel dates to move dates easily and without incurring cancellation fees, land or airline penalties*.
You are free to move your booking on any suspended cruise to any Globus family of brands (Globus, Cosmos or Avalon Waterways) vacation for any destination. If you are not ready to choose your new vacation, the full value paid to us will be provided via a Letter of Credit, redeemable for any future departure through 2022, and is transferrable.
To make the transition easier, this program includes an additional bonus credit. This bonus credit of up to £150 per person will be in addition to your Letter of Credit, redeemable for any future through 2022. Please note that Avalon Bonus Credit cannot be used against a Cosmos River Cruise:
Bonus credit of £150 when redeemed for an Avalon Waterways cruise
Bonus credit of £75 when redeemed for a Globus tour
Bonus credit of £75 when redeemed for a Cosmos tour/Cosmos River Criuse or £40 for an Escapes by Globus tour
And for added flexibility for future travel plans outside of the suspended travel dates, we’re also offering a Peace of Mind Travel Plan, allowing you to move your 2021 or 2022 booking to any other date, departure or brand up until your final payment date. Click here for details.
*Peace of Mind Travel Plan offer valid for departures August 1 through December 31, 2021. Refund in the form of a Letter of Credit, redeemable for travel departing by December 31, 2022. The new booking bonus will be in addition to the Letter of Credit amount. Bonus credits amounts not transferrable. Only one booking bonus per person can be applied per reservation. Suspended departures August 1 through December 31, 2021 may retain past promotional offers if rebooked by July 9, 2021. Changes in airfare may apply, and the new booking is subject to any increase in vacation price for 2021 and 2022 travel. Offer may be withdrawn at any time and other restrictions may apply.
Cancellations for cruises that have not been suspended follow our regular trip cancellation policy. Deposits remain non-refundable and applicable final payment dates still apply.
